About the tour
Turn your journey between Florence and Rome into a rich Tuscan experience with a 3-hour en-route stop in the legendary Chianti countryside. At the heart of Tuscany, you’ll visit one of the region’s oldest and most storied estates, where wine production has been documented since 1596. Tour the cellars, learn about centuries of winemaking tradition, and enjoy a wine tasting and aperitivo beneath beautiful frescoed ceilings, surrounded by rolling hills blanketed in vineyards, Renaissance castles, and medieval churches. The stop continues in the charming town of Greve in Chianti, a historic crossroads for pilgrims and merchants, where you’ll have time to stroll through the arcaded Piazza Matteotti and browse local shops for wine, olive oil, cheese, and other regional specialties. After your visit, your driver will continue the journey and drop you off directly at your hotel in Florence or Rome.

The transfer tour will begin with your private driver collecting you from your hotel in Florence or Rome (another custom location in the area can be agreed). You will enjoy a door-to-door private chauffeur service to your hotel from Florence to Rome or viceversa. During the transfer you’ll have an en-route stop in Chianti for a 3 hours tour.
You will explore the heart of Tuscany where gentle hills have been covered by vineyards for many centuries. A wonderful countryside with renaissance castles and medieval churches particularly famous for the production of wine and olive oil. Along a scenic drive you will reach one of the oldest castles where the wine production is documented since 1596. A visit of the estate, you’ll enter the cellars and learn about the wine production. Finally enjoy a wine tasting and “aperitivo” under beautiful frescoed ceilings.
After the visit the tour will continue to Greve in Chianti, an historical crossroad of pilgrims and merchants among the valleys. A stop to the main square of Piazza Matteotti, the time to have a walk under the open porches and some shopping of wine, oil, cheese and other local products.
After the visit of Greve in Chianti the trip will then conclude with the transfer to your hotel in Florence or Rome.
