About the tour
A full-day private excursion from Florence to Verona, with door-to-door hotel pickup in a luxury Mercedes Benz vehicle. After a 2.5-hour drive, guests meet their official local guide for a 3-hour walking tour of the historic center, starting at Piazza Bra and the Arena, the world’s best-preserved Roman amphitheatre. The route crosses the Victory Bridge through the Roman Borsari gate to Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, taking in the Scaliger Tombs and the famous courtyard of Juliet’s House, with its balcony and love-note-covered walls. Guests then have free time for shopping and lunch, with the guide on hand to recommend local restaurants, before the private driver returns everyone to their hotel in Florence. Note that the Arena is closed on Monday mornings.

Verona day trip from Florence – Discover Verona in one day
The tour will begin with your private driver collecting you from your hotel in Florence (another custom location in the area can be agreed) with a luxury sedan or minivan, and after 2.5h drive you will reach Verona, one of the best options for a romantic day in Italy. The city is not only the setting of the Shakespearean tragedy, but it is also been declared from the UNESCO part of the World Heritage.
You will meet your official local guide and start a 3h walking tour in the charming center of Verona. Starting from Piazza Bra, the city’s biggest square which holds the Arena, the world’s most well-preserved Roman amphitheatre. You will then cross the Victory Bridge and enter the heart of the city through the Roman Borsari gate. After you’ll reach Piazza delle Erbe, the famous market square and Piazza dei Signori (also named Dante’s Square). Next you will see the Scaliger Tombs and of course Juliet’s house. Here, inside the courtyard, you will see the famous balcony with the walls underneath covered in love notes.
At the end of the tour, you will have free time for shopping and taste some of the local dishes for lunch. You tour guide will be happy to suggest you some of the best restaurants and cafès.
After lunch, the tour will conclude and your private driver will take you back to your hotel in Florence or other desired location.
