About the tour
A half-day private excursion from Naples, with door-to-door hotel pickup in a luxury Mercedes Benz vehicle. After a short drive, guests are met by an official archaeological guide for a 2.5-hour walking tour through the ruins of Pompeii, taking in highlights like the thermal baths, the frescoes of the Lupanare, the Macellum and its tabernae, the Basilica, and the House of Faun. The tour then concludes with the private driver returning guests to their hotel in Naples. The itinerary can also be extended with a guided visit to Mount Vesuvius and/or a private tour of Naples’ historic center.

Pompeii private tour from Naples – Half day tour with driver and archaeological guide to the ruins of Pompeii
The tour will begin with your private driver collecting you from your hotel in Naples (another custom location in the area can be agreed) with a luxury sedan or minivan, and after 1H drive you will reach the Europe’s most compelling archaeological site: the ruins of Pompeii. The site is a stark reminder of the destructive forces that lie deep inside Vesuvius.
Here you will meet your official archeological guide and start a 2,5H walking tour amongst Pompeii sites. This will be an amazing and unique experience. You will take a path that winds its way through the most important monuments of the town. The guide will give you the most interesting basics about Pompeii and will show you the most important places such as the thermal baths, the frescos of the Lupanare brothel, the Macellum with its “tabernae”, famous workshops located in the commercial streets, the Basilica and the House of Faun.
This half day tour will then conclude with your private driver taking you back to your hotel in Naples or other desired location.
