Pompeii shore excursion from Naples port – Half day tour with driver and archaeological guide to the ruins of Pompeii
The tour will begin with your private driver collecting you from the docks of Naples port (another custom location in the area can be agreed) with a luxury sedan or minivan, and after 1H drive you will reach the Europe’s most compelling archaeological site: the ruins of Pompeii. The site is a stark reminder of the destructive forces that lie deep inside Vesuvius.
Here you will meet your official archeological guide and start a 2,5H walking tour amongst Pompeii sites. This will be an amazing and unique experience. You will take a path that winds its way through the most important monuments of the town. The guide will give you the most interesting basics about Pompeii and will show you the most important places such as the thermal baths, the frescos of the Lupanare brothel, the Macellum with its “tabernae”, famous workshops located in the commercial streets, the Basilica and the House of Faun.
This half day tour will then conclude with your driver taking you back to Naples, on time to board your ship.
